First edition of this illustrated French travelogue by a talented military artist. Peixotto was an accomplished military artist who served in France as an artist in the American Expeditionary Force during World War I. He remained in France after the war, working on illustration jobs for Scribner's. Peixotto offers an illustrated historical and artistic tour through from Paris to the south of France by motorboat and automobile. Tiny bookseller ticket. Interior generally fine, front inner paper hinge split but holding strong, only minor rubbing to binding. Near-fine condition.
