"War Is Hell and YOU Can Make It Hotter Than That for the Saboteur"

Farren, Harry Desmond. Sabotage. How to Guard Against It. New York: National Foremen's Institute, 1941.

Slim octavo. Hardcover.

First edition of this work urging industry to beware the risk of Axis saboteurs and to guard against sabotage. Sabotage offers numerous stories of industrial sabotage carried out by Axis agents and governments as well as advice on how a factory's owner, agent, or foreman can attempt to protect against that type of sabotage. Although much of the book is taken up with discussion of flashy, explosion-causing sabotage efforts, the author rightly recognizes that allowing Axis propaganda into the factory was just as dangerous. Without dust jacket. Early prices on front free endpaper. A couple stray pen marks to text. A few spots of soiling to preliminary and concluding pages, a few spots of soiling to cloth. A near-fine copy.
