First edition in English of this fairy tale favorite, with eight lovely and fully functional pop-ups illustrating the story. One of the most famous pop-up artists in history, Czech illustrator Vojtech Kubasta revolutionized paper arts. As he worked for a greeting card company in communist Prague, he also produced stunning nativities and pop-up fairy tale books like this one. Preceded by the Czech first edition. Kubasta's books were published all over Europe in a variety of languages; English-language versions are often difficult to acquire in good condition. Pop-ups lovely and functional with a few repairs to tabs, only slightly visible on wolf/grandmother page (but still incredibly unobtrusive), light wear. An extremely good copy.
