First edition of this wonderful commemorative pop-up book celebrating the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953, with three pop-up illustrations of Buckingham Palace, The Horse Guards, and Westminster Abbey. Perhaps among the most wonderful pop-up publications of the era, this elaborate coronation book was intended to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II's ascension to the throne. It features three lovely multi-part pop-ups. Contemporary gift inscription. Pop-ups entirely functional with small archival repair to verso of first pop-up of Buckingham Palace, only a few tiny spots to interior, a bit of wear to edges of oversized boards and around spiral binding as usual. An extremely good pop-up, most desirable with all pop-ups working.
