Welcome to the Opal Rare Books Blog!

The last time I had a blog was circa 1998. I was a big fan of themes at the time. There were entire websites devoted to helping you achieve your best rainbow-washed, horse-themed accounting blog. My blog (*ahem* online journal) was very teal. I believe I also stole the header graphic from the internet (which was fine, because no one over the age of 25 was reading blogs anyway). It was a very young and very emo time on the internet.

This is the first time I've had my own business blog. I'll endeavor to suppress my deepest feelings for all of our comfort. I do hope, though, to give you some insight into the world of rare books and what it's like to run a rare book business as opposed to working at one. What I'm saying is: We're on this journey together.
